I think i'd hold out for a pair of 350's for an entry fee in that neighborhood.
I think the amplifier circuit is the same between 340 and 350. IMO, the 350's are prettier with the filter caps being moved to the underchassis. Plus, they have accessory/transformer sockets and cooling slots between the tubes and trannies to help keep those trannies a bit cooler. All petty stuff i know, but at 4500 we gotta pic a few nits.
